WOMEN LEADING FROM THE CUSP OF THE INDUSTRY

This week, we were at Connectd’s event to celebrate International Women's Day > Trailblazers: Women leading from the cusp of industry hosted at Chief.

Nkiru Uwaje (Grovvth Advisory) moderated a panel of pioneering investors and founders who have led the way in various industries, including AI and Web3. We loved hearing from these extraordinary leaders, with very different backgrounds, about their journeys and lived experiences of being a woman in the tech ecosystem, and the importance of surrounding yourself with allies and champions.

It was an inspiring and high-energy panel filled with insights on building tech businesses, leading teams, and raising funds, all under the recurring theme of resilience.

Julia N. - Global Strategic Partnerships at CoinBridge by Nayax shared her journey in the FinTech ecosystem. Apparently, she wanted to be the president of a bank when she was 5 years old.

A key takeaway from the evening highlighted the need to stop restricting ourselves to silos under the label of “female founder”, and instead play in the main leagues if we believe we’re building a great product.
